When applied topically, it can be effective in reducing fine lines and wrinkles, lightening pigmented spots, and healing photo damaged skin. Retinyl palmitate is readily absorbed by the skin and converted to vitamin A which has been shown to yield
anti-wrinkling and skin firming results. Benefits include smoother texture and super moisture retention. Coenzyme Q10 (ubiquinone) is a naturally occurring antioxidant present in healthy skin. Skin exposed to UV light (sunlight), and photoaging, may suffer decreased ubiquinone levels. Topical application of coenzyme Q10 can slow processes associated with photoaging resulting in a younger, healthier looking appearance. Vitamin E is well known for its antioxidant effects. Studies have shown that topical application of vitamin E reduces lipid peroxidation, DNA changes, and wrinkling.
